About Peter
Peter Brickey is a retired Detective Sergeant from the Bexley Police Department, where he dedicated 29 years of service specializing in law enforcement and firearms instruction. In addition to his distinguished police career, Pete served as a Fraternal Order of Police Union representative, skillfully negotiating labor agreements between the city and his fellow officers. His commitment to public safety and advocacy for his colleagues was further exemplified through his service in the United States Air Force as part of the Security Forces, including deployment during Desert Storm. Pete’s extensive experience in forensic investigations, critical operations, and labor relations stands as a testament to his leadership and dedication to duty.
Growing up, Pete was influenced by his parents’ small business, which provided him with early insights into hard work, responsibility, and the dynamics of managing operations. This experience helped shape his strong work ethic and leadership qualities that carried through his professional life.
Beyond his professional achievements, Pete is a licensed commercial pilot with a passion for aviation. He enjoys playing golf, maintaining physical fitness, and embarking on long-distance motorcycle rides. His enthusiasm for motorsports, particularly American muscle cars, reflects his dynamic interests and adventurous spirit, making him a multifaceted individual both professionally and personally.

I hope you’ll forgive me for being blunt.
I am Peter Brickey. I’m an AFSP and realize that you may not be used to seeing a tax advisor talk like this. It’s not my intention to offend (I’m actually being very careful with my words – I am a tax professional, after all).
But I think you’ll agree that the times we’re currently facing require a little straight talk.
